If you're maintaining equipment commercially—Tecumseh snow blowers in your fleet, heat pump dryers with Tecumseh compressors in your service area—the genuine part is the winner. It isn't close. The labor, downtime, and callback risk all dwarf the unit price difference. Seven years of invoices back that up.
An informed customer is the best kind of customer, and the first question isn't "what does this cost?" It's "what does this cost me per year?" That question would have saved me $400.
